Riddlesden Gala organisers have paid a £3,000 thank you to Scouts and Guides for their support over three decades.
Uniformed groups in the village are sharing the £3,150 proceeds from last summer’s 30th anniversary gala.
Representatives of each of the groups gathered recently to receive the money from members of the Riddlesden Gala committee.
The 2013 gala, which took place in glorious sunshine, featured one of the biggest Riddlesden processions for several years.
Gala chairman Geoffrey Baldwin said the committee was grateful for the long-term involvement of local Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Brownies, Beavers, Rainbows and Rangers.
He said: “We decided to support them as a thank you for their support over the years. We had a fantastic day in June and raised a magnificent sum which was split equally between the three groups.”
