A warehouse belonging to a catering company was destroyed by fire earlier today.
Shortly after midnight fire crews were called to Apna Catering on Summerville Road after reports the single storey building was on fire.
Five engines from Bradford, Fairweather Green, Odsal, Shipley and Cleckheaton attended, as well as two combined aerial appliances.
On arriving they found flames rising out of the building’s roof.
Firefighters on the scene said strong winds could easily have spread the fire to neighbouring buildings, including Bradford Council's Shearbridge Road depot which backs on to the catering warehouse, but crews managed to contain the blaze to the building.
The property was destroyed and the roof had collapsed. There have been no injuries reported.
Firefighters are still on the scene dampening down, and the cause is being investigated.
