Van destroyed in Christmas Day arson attack
A van was wrecked when arsonists set fire to it on Christmas Day.
The Citroen Despatch was set alight as it was parked in the owner’s drive in Westfield Lane, Scholes, at 9pm.
A passer-by spotted the flames and alerted the owner.
Fire crews from Cleckheaton attended but the engine compartment was burned out.
A spokesman said: “The van is a write off. It was started deliberately and the police are investigating.”
