A health care worker drove off in a new car after winning the top prize in a local NHS prize draw. Wendy Hall, a vascular sonographer at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, collected her Suzuki 4x4 SZ5 from Foundation Trust chairman David Richardson.
“When I got the call to say I’d won, I was totally speechless,” she said. “I’ve been a member of the prize draw for more than 20 years and I won £25 a decade ago – which I used to buy cream cakes for the department. To win the top prize of the car is just unbelievable and very lovely.
“Christmas has come early for me and the feelgood factor from the win has given the whole department a real boost in the run-up to Christmas.”
