Awards have been presented to supporters of this year’s Keighley Royal British Legion Poppy appeal.
Volunteers and businesses were recognised for their efforts, at a ceremony in Keighley’s Drill Hall.
Presentations were made by the town mayor, Coun Sally Walker.
Among the recipients were top-collecting businesses and army, air, and sea and marine cadets.
And there was praise for the support given to the appeal by Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and the Airedale Shopping Centre.
A pie and pea supper was served.
Jackie McGinnis, for the Legion, said: “We would particularly like to thank Steve Seymour, manager of the Airedale Shopping Centre, for his continuing support over the years and the owners of the centre for allowing us to use an empty shop from which to run our campaign. Their support is invaluable.”
