Santa Claus and shopping centre mascot Filbert the Squirrel were on hand as Burger King opened its first restaurant in Keighley. The global fast-food chain has moved into a 2,000 sq ft unit next to Marks & Spencer and Beales department store in the Airedale Shopping Centre, and is expected to create 40 new jobs.
Its opening was slightly delayed, as it was initially meant to begin trading at noon on Monday.
The Airedale Centre has said the fast food outlet’s arrival is part of an ongoing effort to improve the choice on offer for the shopping precinct’s users.
Santa Claus is pictured at the new restaurant.
