Fawlty Towers-themed dinner parties have proved a big hit at the Alhambra’s Restaurant 1914.
Several performances earlier this month sold out, and there are a further two coming up on January 27 and 30. With a three-course meal hosted by Basil Fawlty, his long-suffering wife Sybil and hapless waiter Manuel, anything can happen.
The same can probably be said for Edmund And Co, a new themed dinner party based on classic sitcom Blackadder.
Coming to Restaurant 1914 on Friday, January 31, the “parody comedy tribute” transports diners into the Queen’s Court where Edmund Blackadder is your cunning, shrewd and witty host for the evening. Meanwhile, Baldrick has a cunning plan and Lord Melchett is about to make a surprise appearance. What could possibly go wrong?
The show promises “an evening of side-splitting entertainment” as well as a great meal. It will certainly be a memorable one.
Tickets for both Fawlty Towers and Edmund And Co shows can be booked on (01274) 432000.
