Fundraising has gone to the head of school admin assistant James Moorhouse.
He has lost his locks to boost the coffers of two charitable causes.
His effort – at Beechcliffe School, in Keighley – raised over £700 to be split between Cancer Research UK and a fund to buy a new school minibus.
The head shave, was carried out by the four pupils donating most – Finn Hughes, William Lister, Robert Smallwood and Eve Presland.
“The kids loved it and were cheering!” said James, 25.
“One or two people have said they like the new look but I’m not so sure – it feels very strange!
“I’d been purposely growing my hair for the occasion and I’m hoping it will grow back fairly quickly.
“A lot of us in school know someone who has been affected by cancer, and we desperately need a new minibus with wheelchair access. “I was delighted with the amount raised.”
