An up-and-coming band thrilled Bingley pupils with a special performance before being presented with an electric guitar designed by parents.
The Luminites, former Britain’s Got Talent finalists, visited Samuel Lister Academy to perform a short set to 1,000 pupils from the school and surrounding primaries.
They answered questions from pupils and then were thrilled to be presented with a guitar designed by academy students and carved by design teacher David Hardman of Wuff Wood Guitars.
Mr Hardman had struck up a friendship with band’s guitarist Corey when they last played at the school, on tour before they hit the big time on the reality show.
Jack Scarr, marketing co-ordinator at the school, said: “It went fantastically well. After the presentation they played a further song using the guitar.”
