A seven-vehicle collision on the M62 motorway near Bradford led to long delays for motorists.
Motorists experienced heavy congestion yesterday afternoon near junction 26 of the eastbound M62 at Chain Bar.
A fire service spokesman said there had been a “road traffic collision involving six cars and one LGV”.
He added: “All persons released prior to arrival of fire service, two ambulances required for person with neck injury and persons suffering from shock.”
One motorist, who was trying to get to Bradford from Mirfield, said three paramedic’s vehicles, an ambulance and several fire engine were on the scene.
The motorist added that the left-hand lane was closed eastbound just before the Chain Bar junction and said traffic problems were severe.
The road was cleared and traffic was returning to normal by about 4pm yesterday.
