Two men accused of being part of a knifepoint robbery of a cab driver on a Bradford housing estate have appeared in court.
Timothy Jackson, 25, of Falkland Road, Ravenscliffe, and Anthony Bakes, 20, of Thackeray Road, Ravenscliffe, appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court.
They faced a charge of robbing Tanveer Hussain of a satellite navigation unit and a mobile phone, valued at a total of £140, at Bradford on December 14.
Jackson also faced a charge of possessing an offensive weapon, a knife.
Bail applications were made for the defendants but they were remanded in custody to next appear at Bradford Crown Court on January 2.
A 20-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, arrested in connection with the incident, at Roundwood Avenue, Ravenscliffe, have been given police bail pending further inquiries.
Cab firms in the area are meeting on Monday to discuss a boycott of the estate, following previous unconnected assaults on cabbies.
