A car dealership has given Manorlands hospice a bumper boost.
White Rose Volkswagen, of Cross Hills, near Keighley, has donated £1,500 to the hospice, in lieu of sending Christmas cards.
It is the fifth year in succession the firm has given a donation, which is linked to its support of the annual Manorlands Keighley BigK 10K event.
Andrew Wood, a Sue Ryder regional fundraiser based at the hospice, said: “The support that White Rose Volkswagen and our other main sponsors gave helped us to raise £48,000 with the Keighley BigK 10K event this year.
“The money is crucial to assist us to continue our work helping 1,170 people in the local community, with cancer and other incurable illnesses, each year.”
White Rose Volkswagen managing director, Frank Greenway, said: “We were delighted to once again make this donation to Manorlands hospice as an alternative to sending Christmas cards to our customers.
“We'd still like to thank our customers for their continued support but I'm sure they appreciate our decision to make this donation to support the fantastic work that Manorlands continues to do."
