Students at Bradford College are supporting the city’s poor families by donating food to the Bradford Foodbank.
Students on the City & Guilds Award in English Skills have collected non-perishable food goods from friends, family and colleagues to pass on to those less fortunate over Christmas.
The project was first brought to students’ attention as they were researching foodbanks as part of their Level 1 Literacy module. All the foods collected by College students will be given to the Bradford Foodbank this week.
Linda Whitehead, course tutor at Bradford College said: “It’s fantastic that the students have shown such enthusiasm for a great cause and we hope their contribution will help those less fortunate, especially over the Christmas period.”
