A party celebrating the 88th wedding anniversary of a Bradford couple has raised £204 for the Clutha Appeal Fund helping victims and family members of the Glasgow helicopter crash.

Guests gathered at the Castle pub run by Karam and Kartari Chand’s son Paul Chand to enjoy entertainment from a number of artists who perform at its regular Friday music nights.

Mr Chand has also recently celebrated his 108th birthday and Mrs Chand has just had 101st birthday. The pair are waiting to hear from Guinness Book of Records to see if they are the oldest living married couple in the world.
