A Bradford woman has been named as a joint winner in a national competition run by her employer.
Pamela Lambert, who is court manager at Bowler Close sheltered housing scheme in Low Moor, received the ‘Making a Difference’ gong at the staff awards of care home provider Housing 21.
Mrs Lambert was presented with a crystal trophy by chairman Lord Ben Stoneham at a ceremony held at the Kensington Roof Gardens last week.
She was nominated for volunteering to research and present dementia awareness sessions, not only to residents on her court but also to residents in other Housing 21 courts, with the aim of reaching as wide an audience as possible.
Mrs Lambert took dementia awareness training in her own time.
