An Otley schoolgirl's depiction of a cosy festive scene has won an annual Christmas card competition.
MP Greg Mulholland (Lib Dem, Leeds North West) chose Year 6 pupil Harriet Howle’s design for his greetings cards this year.
Harriet, who studies at The Whartons Primary School, Otley, created a colourful design featuring a snug-looking Yorkshire home with a dog – sporting a Santa hat – enjoying a roaring fire.
Mr Mulholland, who visited the school to congratulate her, said: “I was delighted with the great number of entries this year. “There was a really high standard and choosing a winner was not easy.”
The competition was supported by Northern Powergrid.
