Police and the Fire and Rescue Service in North Yorkshire have pledged to work more closely together to improve public safety and efficiency.
The county’s Police and Crime Commissioner Julia Mulligan and the Chairman of North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority, John Fort, have signed a statement of intent.
It follows the success of a pilot project to jointly provide safety services to vulnerable older people across the Dales.
Mrs Mulligan said: “I think there is a real opportunity for both organisations to deliver services better through collaboration.”
