A dean at Bradford College is the first person to be given a prestigious new title.
Dr Clive Opie is the Dean of McMillan School of Teaching, Health and Care at Bradford College and has become the first recipient of Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
The title is awarded to teaching professionals in colleges.
His role at Bradford College means he is responsible for learning and teaching in both higher and further education across the ‘caring’ professions.
Dr Opie said: “I feel honoured to have been awarded a Principal Fellowship and to be held in the same esteem as other Principal Fellows fills me with a special sense of pride.”
