The West Yorkshire Police and Crime Panel has welcomed pledges and commitments by the Police and Crime Commissioner Mark Burns-Williamson to residents of Bradford.
Mr Burns-Willamson has given reassurances about preparations to ensure a safe ‘Grand Depart’ of the Tour de France in West Yorkshire; a commitment to give residents a clearer picture of the targets in place for different types of crime; a pledge to engage local partners in any reviews of neighbourhood policing arrangements; and an intention to improve the casework service provided by his Office. Councillor Alison Lowe, chairman of the West Yorkshire Police and Crime Panel, said: “We were extremely encouraged by the assurances Mark offered us.”
