A project supporting homeless and vulnerable people in Bradford will hold a major gathering in the city on Saturday.
The Rucksack Project is a worldwide movement that asks people to donate a rucksack full of items to help those forced to sleep on the streets, such as food, clothing and sleeping bags.
Almost 500 people are expected to attend the event at the Great Victoria Hotel in Bridge Street, where full rucksacks will be donated to workers from Hearthounds UK, a charity that has been set up to provide awareness of homeless people and their dogs.
Volunteers will then visit the Culture Fusion building on Thornton Road, to hand over rucksacks to projects that cater for young people who sleep on Bradford’s streets.
For more details of the event from 10.30am to 11.30am, visit the group’s Facebook page.
