Bradford Bulls’ wheelchair rugby league team is appealing for new players as it prepares for next season.
The squad, which recorded a 85-40 victory over the Bradford Bulls Foundation in a pre-season friendly at Bradford College’s Trinity Green on Sunday, is looking for new disabled and able-bodied recruits of either sex and all ages..
Gill Johnson, who will celebrate the team’s fifth anniversary in January, said: “Anyone and everyone is welcome to join in the action, regardless of their circumstances.
“A lot of people with disabilities spend a lot of their lives wrapped up in cotton wool, but this gives those people a chance to get out and enjoy themselves in a competitive arena.
“We are hard at work preparing for the new season and we are always looking to recruit new talent.”
The team trains every Monday at the Bradford College campus from 5.30-7.30pm. E-mail bradfordbullswrlc@live.co.uk for more information.
