A Bradford woman enjoyed her 100th birthday on Saturday by celebrating with family, including her great- granddaughter who is a century younger than her.
Grace Wilkinson’s family believe a healthy lifestyle, inspired by her Methodist faith, is her secret to a long life.
Family from around the country visited Grace at the Borrins Bupa care home in Baildon throughout the day to mark her milestone.
Rafaella, her ninth great-grandchild, is just five months old – born 100 years after her centenarian great grandma.
Mrs Wilkinson has lived in Bradford all her life and grew up in the Idle area. As a young girl she earned a scholarship to Bradford Girls’ Grammar School.
She later worked as a secretary and played an active part in the Methodist community in Wibsey, along with her husband, lay preacher Fred Wilkinson.
