The winter vomiting bug has shut more than 100 beds in Bradford hospitals in the last week.
Yesterday there were 31 beds in all hit by the bug across Bradford Royal Infirmary, St Luke’s and at Eccleshill, Westwood Park and Westbourne Green community hospitals.
Between November 28 and December 4, there were 36 beds shut over a span of three days because of the bug.
Bradford Teaching Hospitals’ lead nurse Infection Prevention and Control, Rosemarie Dobson said: “We are asking the public to help prevent the spread of winter bugs by appealing to visitors who feel ill, or have been unwell, only to visit if absolutely necessary and, if possible, use alternative methods of contact.”
