A woman was seriously injured after her moped was involved in a crash with a car in a suspected hit-and-run in Bradford yesterday.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Leeds Road, at its junction with Seymour Street, at about 5.20pm. A police spokesman said the car involved –thought to be a blue Vauxhall Astra – had “made off” from the scene. He added that the woman’s injuries were not life-threatening. A Yorkshire Ambulance spokesman said a fast response vehicle and an ambulance had attended and one casualty had been taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary. Leeds Road was closed heading away from the city centre between Shipley Airedale Road and Seymour Street, as well as between Seymour Street and Bradford fire station. Police want anyone who saw the crash, or knows anything about it, to contact 101.
