Police yesterday appealed for the public's help in identifying this man they want to question about a reported assault and theft at Morrisons supermarket in Heckmondwike.
A male member of staff approached a man who he believed had put a bottle of alcohol in his bag without paying for it. When confronted, the man allegedly grabbed the staff member and dragged him to the floor.
The suspect is described as white, in his mid-20s, with dark hair which was shaved at the side and spiky on top. He was wearing a black bomber jacket, dark jogging bottoms and black trainers and had a black and yellow Nike T90 Strider backpack.
Anyone who recognises the man or who has any information that could help the investigation should contact PC Chris Birkenshaw in Spen Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101. Alternatively, information can be given to independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
