Plans to demolish three houses and construct 13 new homes are being studied by Bradford Council planners.
The application for the demolition of 35 and 35A Parish Ghyll Drive and 10 Parish Ghyll Lane, Ilkley, was submitted to the Council by Steve Horne of Keighley-based Wyden Developments Ltd.
A previous plan for 11 new houses, and the demolition of 35 Parish Ghyll Drive and 10 Parish Ghyll Lane, was submitted and withdrawn earlier this year.
The Council is not asking for the development to include any affordable housing, as it is below the 15-house threshold. and the houses proposed are two and three-storey homes.
Officers have suggested asking the developer for £47,000 for education provision if the plan is approved.
Ward councillor Martin Smith (Con, Ilkley) has objected to the plan, describing the scheme as ‘gross overdevelopment’.
He is concerned about the impact on residential amenity, parking, pedestrian and traffic safety, and the effects on wildlife and the character of the Conservation Area.
The plan is expected to be determined by Bradford Council.
