Four dedicated blood donors in Bradford have been recognised for rolling up their sleeves to help save lives.
Wendy Allison, of East Bowling; Valerie Wilkinson, of Low Moor; Alan Hawkes, of East Bierley, and Peter Howarth, of Cleckheaton, were honoured at an awards event held by NHS Blood and Transplant.
They received crystal awards alongside 55 other donors from across West and North Yorkshire.
Jayne Snell, a mother-of-two, of Selby, North Yorkshire, presented the awards and spoke about how blood donation changed her life.
Donna Batty, donor relations manager at NHS Blood and Transplant, said: “We would like to thank these donors for their commitment and dedication to blood donation. They are an inspiration to us all.”
