A film shot in Bradford has won an award at a ceremony honouring the best of independent British cinema.
Amy Hubbard won the award for best technical achievement for her work casting The Selfish Giant, about two boys working for a scrap merchant in Bradford. The film, written and directed by Clio Barnard of Otley, stars Bradford schoolboys Conner Chapman and Shaun Thomas, and has already won several international awards.
This latest award was presented at the British Independent Film Awards, which recognised Julie Walters for her contribution to British cinema.
Other winners included Lindsay Duncan, best actress for Le Week-end, and James McAvoy, named best actor for the film called Filth.
