A nativity service with a difference was held at Keighley New Church, Braithwaite Village.
The story of the first Christmas was told by church secretary Yvonne Higgins, while members of the congregation mimed the actions.
And as children arrived at the service, they were invited to don costumes and join in.
Church council member Phillip Brooks said: “For the first time adults took all the main roles, with younger people leading the essential supporting roles of angels, shepherds, sheep, camels and donkeys.
“Rhymes and songs were also used to underline the key points in this wonderful story.”
