Body found in disused quarry
The body of a man has been discovered in a disused quarry near Horsforth.
Police have launched an investigation after the man’s body was found in Clayton Woods quarry, off the ring road at West Park.
The man, who has not been formally identified, was found at about 10.20am today.
The woods were cordoned off and emergency services were at the scene following the discovery.
Inquiries are continuing but early indications suggest the death is not suspicious.
