Two stars of film and television, a charity boss and a head chef will be honoured with fellowships from Bradford College next week.
And for the first time the graduation ceremonies on Tuesday and Wednesday will be broadcast live to audiences on the Big Screen in City Park and on the internet.
Viewers will be able to see the 2013 Bradford College Honorary Fellows step up to receive their awards from Bradford College group chief executive, Michele Sutton. The recipients are TV dramatist Kay Mellor, actress Gaynor Faye, Meghna Ghai Puri, who is the president of Whistling Woods International (WWI), and Rich Jones, who founded the The Joshua Project children’s charity in Great Horton in 2007 at the age of 23. Mohammed Aslam, who is the Aagrah restaurant group’s executive head chef and managing director, and Dr Phebe Mann, nationally recognised as an exceptional role model for women in engineering, will also be receiving the honorary fellowships.
The ceremonies will also celebrate the academic success of students getting awards validated by Leeds Metropolitan University and Teesside University, as well as professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Association of Accounting Technicians.
Mrs Sutton said: “We are very proud of our graduates and Honorary Fellows. They are our ambassadors and we look forward to celebrating their invaluable contributions.”
