Police are hunting a robber who snatched a woman’s pet dog from a house in Birstall at knifepoint.
Detectives say the man entered the property on Branwell Avenue at around 10.35pm last night and demanded the victim hand over her dogs.
He threatened her with a knife and put her two-year-old French Bulldog into a basket.
He also stole an iPad before running out through the front door.
The suspect is described as white, about 5ft 6ins tall and of medium build.
He was wearing a dark blue bomber jacket, dark blue jeans and a blue woolly hat, with a white zig-zag design on it.
He was wearing a face covering, which was possibly a balaclava, and white motorbike-style gloves.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC Mark Gregory at Kirklees CID on 101.
