School pupils and staff in Cullingworth have done their bit for the environment by planting dozens of trees outside their school.
The students from Parkside made the most of a free offering of 480 saplings from the Woodland Trust.
They expect the trees, which are all native species, will develop into a flourishing young wood in as little as 10 years.
A spokesman for Parkside said: “We applied for a tree pack from the Woodland Trust to enhance our neighbourhood and enrich the local environment, while creating new homes for wildlife.”
John Tucker, of the Woodland Trust, said: “By teaming up with organisations like Parkside School, we are working to double our native woodland cover and enrich our landscape.”
