Police tonight confirmed the body of a woman pulled from the River Aire near Leeds is that of missing Bradford mum Seemberjeet Kaur.
A member of the public reported a body in the water near Leeds railway station at about 1.35pm yesterday – a little more than six weeks after the 35-year-old disappeared from her home in East Bowling.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said a post-mortem examination was carried out today and the body had been formally identified as Mrs Kaur.
Her death was not being treated as suspicious and her next of kin had been informed, he added.
The married mum sparked a massive police search when she failed to collect her daughter, who was three but has since turned four, from nursery on Wednesday, October 23.
