The queues of traffic during the Saltaire roundabout roadworks
A major milestone will be reached this weekend in the project to transform and improve the Saltaire roundabout junction.
Tomorrow Moorhead Lane and Saltaire Road will be closed for resurfacing and allow road markings to be painted.
Once that work is completed in the evening, the temporary roundabout will be removed and the junction will begin to operate with traffic lights from Monday.
Further surfacing work will continue on Moorhead Lane and Saltaire Road the following Sunday, December 15. This will involve some road closures and work to other areas.
The project is still on schedule and should be completed next month.
