Glusburn Community Primary School has gained international recognition.
The school has been accredited with the Rights Respecting School Award Level 2 by United Nations body UNICEF.
Glusburn had earlier become the first school in North Yorkshire to achieve ;evel one, and became the second to reach level two.
UNICEF assessors Mick Bradley and Beverly Noble have praised the school .
The pair said: “It was clear to the assessors during the visit that everyone places a real importance on developing and embedding a rights-respecting ethos.”
Head teacher Richard Hunt paid tribute to Lynn Ashton, community cohesion co-ordinator, for her work.
