Bradford band Operator Six is calling it a day after celebrating ten years together.
The band will release their final single, Somebody’s Mind, before they split up for what is hoped will be a temporary break.
“We will be back in a year or so for sure. It’s just pressing pause,” said the band in a statement. “We have had ten brilliant years, but due to upcoming absences, with other things happening, it seems a good time to knock it on the head.
“We are releasing a free download on Sunday as a thank-you to everyone who has supported the band. It isn’t the end though. In ten years the longest we have gone without playing is probably only a couple of months so it’s going to be a big change.”
