FOOTBALL: In the Craven League Division 11C BPA Raptors beat Oakworth Wasps away 9-1. Scorers were Vincent Henderson (3), James Hebb (3), Billy-Lee Firth and Tyler Brown. In Division 18A BPA beat Silsden 2-1. Scorers were Harry Hall and Josh Finan. Man of the match was Connor Frost.
CLUB: Karl Cooper will entertain at Owlet Hall Social Club tonight at 8pm.
SERVICE: Bolton Villas United Reformed Church hold a toy and gift service on Sunday at 10.30am. Take a new and unwrapped gift. These will be distributed to needy children through the Salvation Army at Holme Wood.
MEETING: Wrose Parish Council will meet on Thursday, December 12, at 7.30pm at St Cuthbert's Church Hall. If you are interested in becoming a parish councillor come along and find our more or e-mail the parish clerk at wroseparishclerk@sky.com.
CLUB: It will be party time for the White Rose Sugar Art Club on Friday, December 13, at Shipley Library.
SHOP: The Refreshed Charity Shop at Bolton Villas Church has Christmas party wear and accessories on sale. Opening hours are 11am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
LIBRARY: Wrose Library opening times are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 1.30pm to 4.30pm, and Saturday, 9.30am to noon. On Mondays a children’s story time and crafts session is held from 1.45pm to 2.45pm.
CHRISTMAS TABLEAU: A Christmas Tableau was switched on outside the building of Wrose Methodist Church. A short service was led by Reverend Nick Blundell (pictured left). Parish Councillor David Jessop, chairman of Wrose Parish Council Martin Humphries, parish clerk Ellen Imeson and Parish Councillor Mick Bonallie are pictured. The Parish Council hope to have a competition to 'design a Christmas Card' for children. The front cover would be a picture of the tableau and the children would then design the inside. Templates will be taken to the four churches in Wrose, Low Ash Primary School, Wrose Library and the Co-op.
GARDENERS CLUB: Seed catalogues are now available from Wrose and District Gardeners Stores, Kingsway, on Sunday from 10.30am to 11.30am.
