Bradford Council will meet on December 19 to discuss three planning applications for new supermarkets in the Shipley area.
One is at the current home of Cardinal shopfitters at Airedale Mills from which the company wants to relocate.
Plans for a new Morrisons and 94 homes in the Crag Road area of Windhill will also be discussed, plus the rival bid to build on the Crossley Evans’ site called Shipley Link.
The applicant GMI Developments submitted its plan for the site in May this year and proposes a new food store, stand-alone café/restaurant, petrol station, ‘super crossing’ and car park, with employment space arranged over five business units; car parking and a new taxi rank at Shipley train station and new Network Rail maintenance depot.
It forecasts that up to 650 jobs will be created.
