A young boy has been hurt in an accident with a van in Barkerend Road in Bradford Moor.
Police said the child is believed to have ran out into the road shortly after 4pm today near Lapage Primary School.
Officers have closed Barkerend Road in both directions while emergency services tend to the boy with traffic diverted.
Police said the child, who is thought to be about five years old, was not seriously injured.
Meanwhile, police were called to a separate accident involving an 11-year-old girl and a car in Town Lane, Idle, Bradford, at about 3.10pm.
A spokesman confirmed an ambulance had attended the scene, but said the girl was not seriously injured.
