A cycling film festival was one of the plans revealed during the latest meeting of a group set up to involve local people in the Tour de France.
The idea was outlined at a meeting of Worth the Tour, staged at Keighley Campus Leeds City College.
Alan Watkinson, of Keighley Film Club, said the festival should take place over the Grand Depart weekend of July 5 and 6.
Worth the Tour spokesman Gerry Crookes, from Oxenhope, said: “It would hopefully take place in the evening after the roads re-open – and would be held at Keighley Picture House.
“There would be nine films – on themes identified as competitive sport, childhood dreams, family, leisure, comedy, travel, ambition, inspiration and endurance.
“The organisers have applied for funding and are waiting to hear back.”
She added that the meeting had been very constructive.
