A cafe run as a social enterprise has found a new home.
Cafe Hope, which was in Central Hall, Alice Street, Keighley, moved into the renovated North Street Arcade earlier this month. Tracey Thomas, who runs the cafe, is offering it as a space to local artists to put their work on display.
She said the relocation had been hard work but she was hopeful it would pay off, adding that a sponsor who wished to remain anonymous had helped ensure the cafe could get up and running again successfully.
“We’re still doing the same work we did before with our volunteer workers, getting them qualified and giving them the confidence they need to go onto greater things,” she said. “A lot of people who came to us at our old place know we’re here now – we’ve done no publicity, just word of mouth. We’re also doing outside catering and we’re working with the Great Northern pub to help run its carvery on Sunday.”
