Otley Town Council has been officially accredited as a Living Wage employer.
The council had already been paying its staff the recommended living wage, which is set above the minimum wage.
The new formal arrangement means it is committed to paying all of its employees a current minimum of £7.65 an hour and ensuring contractors it uses do the same.
