A 23-year-old man, jointly charged with the murder of acid attack victim Barry Selby, has made a first appearance before a crown court judge.

Andrew Feather was produced from custody for a ten-minute hearing before the Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, at Bradford Crown Court today.

Tall, slim, Feather, of no fixed address, who was wearing a grey T-shirt and grey jogging bottoms, spoke only to confirm his name.

Feather is charged with the murder of Mr Selby, and two firearms offences.

Three men appeared before Judge Thomas earlier in the week and were remanded in custody.

Lee Calvert, 22, of Stirling Crescent, Holme Wood, Bradford; and Joseph Lowther, 21, of Copgrove Road, Holme Wood; are charged with murder, possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, and possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear.

Robert Woodhead, 28, of Fred’s Place, Tyersal, Bradford, is charged only with the firearms offences at this stage.

Judge Thomas told Feather the next hearing would be on December 20, when all four defendants would be appearing via a TV link from prison.

A provisional trial date has been set for next May.

Mr Selby, 50, died following an incident at his home in Rayleigh Street, East Bowling, Bradford, in the early hours of Monday, October 14.
