A man was taken to hospital after a car came off the road above Oxenhope early today.
Two people are believed to have been in the vehicle, which was travelling along Hill House Edge Lane at about 2.30am.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the scene, and found the car had careered down banking.
Firefighters helped paramedics carry the injured man back up to the road where a waiting ambulance took him to hospital.
Watch commander Andy Quinn, of Keighley fire station, said he believed the driver had been attempting to negotiate a bend when the crash happened.
He said: “It was a very narrow road between Oxenhope and Halifax. The car was probably about 15 to 20 metres from the road.”
