A group of former Bradford teenagers won the OK Bulls Factor final last night – with their band Idle.
The five-piece rock and roll outfit, who are all aged 15 and 16, came up from their new base in Staffordshire for the final at Odsal. They pipped Bradford-based band Void to the title.
Elliot Hunter, lead guitarist with Idle, said: “It is pretty amazing – we were not at all expecting to win!”
Elliot’s bandmates are singer Charlie Thompson, rhythm guitarist Freddie Bostock, bassist Zach Hodgetts, and drummer Anthony Jones.
Ten acts battled it out in the final – five solo singers and five bands – and there were about 1,300 votes cast on the night.
Spokesman for the event, Sarah Williams, said: “It has been a fantastic final and very successful, both from the club’s point of view and also from the acts’ point of view.
“The quality of the acts was very high.”
