A community radio station in Bradford that “punches well above its weight” is celebrating after receiving a prestigious award.
BCB 106.6fm has been awarded the Radio Academy radio station of the year 2013 for Yorkshire.
The competition is for radio stations who have a transmission area of no more than 300,000 listeners. BCB will now compete with other regional winners at the Sony Radio awards next spring for the national title.
BCB broadcast manager Jonathan Pinfield said: “We are all delighted and will certainly be celebrating at our AGM on December 14.”
