A woman suffered a fractured shoulder when she was dragged to the ground by a robber in a “violent and frightening attack” in Bradford.
The 59-year-old woman was walking along Rushton Road, Thornbury, when a man attacked her from behind and dragged her to the ground before stealing her handbag.
Police are appealing for information to the robbery, which happened at about 9.12am yesterday.
The woman suffered a small fracture to her shoulder and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspect is described as Asian, aged 17 to 20 and about 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket and trousers.
Detective Inspector Richard Partis of Bradford CID, said: "This was a violent and frightening attack which caused the victim to suffer a significant injury."
