A 34-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating a “suspicious incident” where a two-year-old girl had her hands grabbed by a stranger.

Police say the Bradford man is being questioned on suspicion of child abduction in connection with the incident which happened near Ashton House on Park Road at 2.45pm yesterday.

The girl was walking with her mum close to the bottom of Manchester Road when a man took hold of the girl’s hands.

He let go after becoming distracted and fled in the direction of the Lidl supermarket in Manchester Road.
