Students got to quiz the leader of Bradford Council about controversial cuts looming over the district.
Councillor David Green took part in a question-and-answer session at Bradford College yesterday.
The Labour-led authority has announced the services it plans to cut to meet a shrinking budget next year. This includes reductions to youth service budgets, the closure of selected children’s centres and public toilets and the axeing of the mobile library service.
The question-and-answer session was organised by the Bradford College Students Union. Coun Green told the students it was important they made their voices heard in the consultation.
He said the budget proposals included “significant cuts to services provided to young people in this district”.
